The Device

The cup uses a weight sensor to tell when the dose has been removed. It does not confirm the medication was actually swallowed.

Hand-drawn storyboard scene: six cap and closure concepts labeled locking, locking with smoothed square, wide and oblong, special lid mechanism and label, clock on cap, and slots for hand
Hand-drawn storyboard scene: test rigs for the torque needed to open a cap, cap tensile strength, and perforation strength

Storyboard

Drew both storyboard scenes back when our focus was medication packaging for patients with reduced hand dexterity. Shown to the left are my cap and closure concepts, and to the right the test methods for opening torque, cap tensile strength, and perforation strength.
